Suzanne Pleshette. Suzanne was most notable for her role as Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show. Emily was not the typical "Stepford" sitcom wife that audiences were previously used to.She was to reprise this role some years later in the series finale of Newhart. The episode is considered by many to be the greatest series ending ever, in complete contrast to the steaming pile which "rubbed-out" The Sopranos.
