Giants to do battle in Superbowl

Tomorrow is Super Sunday and there seems to be another battlefield beyond the gridiron as politicians from New York and Massachusetts wage their own pissing contest. The wager pits local food fares against one another. Both governors pledged to donate the meals to charity. This sends me a mixed message. The losers donate to the needy? Does this mean that their respective constituents can starve, and they'll feed another's if only their team were to lose? The controversy does not end there. Are the Giants really a New York team? "... in case no one noticed, the Giants do not play in New York" ~ James L.Cassella - mayor of East Rutherford, N.J. When the New York Giants won the Super Bowl in 1987, former mayor Ed Koch refused to allow a victory parade in the city, saying they should instead hold a parade in New Jersey, where the Giants play at the Meadowlands. Go Islanders!
